Deep has 29 years of experience spanning private and public investments, turnarounds, and start-up.

He is a Founding partner of Cognos India.

Experience

Deep was a Managing Director at Everstone Capital wherein over a 10 years period, he garnered considerable Private Equity investments experience in several buyout and minority deals across consumer, healthcare and pharma sectors and was an active board member in over 10 portfolio companies.

Prior to that he worked for Och Ziff Capital management, a global hedge fund, where he was involved in 13 investments across real estate, infrastructure, financial services and tech / analytics.

His earlier buy side stint was in debt markets and credit rating.

Deep has also spent time as an I-Banker with Ernst & Young. Deep was the Co-founder of a fintech start-up in the early 2000’s.

Education

Deep holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Kanpur and an MBA from IIM, Kolkata. 

Life drives and passions

Deep loves reading fiction, has a keen interest in music and is an avid marathon runner.
