Cognos France was commissioned exclusively by the shareholders of Billard Engrenages & Tunisie Applications Mécaniques to find strategic partners willing to support the Group's next phase of development. A competitive process was put in place materialising the interest of many players in the ecosystem.

Founded in 1946 in Pont-Salomon (43330), Billard Engrenages is a family business specialising in the design of spur cylindrical gears, spur bevel gears and spiral bevel gears, as well as gear grinding.

In 2007, the Billard family decided to open a production unit in Sousse, Tunisia, specialising in small and medium-sized production runs: Tunisie Applications Mécaniques.

Both production units have a full range of cutting-edge machinery and equipment, with a renewal plan to keep pace with developments in digital machining.

The Group, which employs around 60 people, works for a diverse customer base from a number of sectors in France and abroad: textiles, oil, aeronautics, medical, robotics, etc…

The acquisition of Billard Engrenages & Tunisie Applications Mécaniques by the SADEV Group will enable it to increase its production capacity and strengthen its expertise in precision gearing, as well as its territorial coverage in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Tunisia.

Founded in 1974 and now run by the 2nd generation, the family-owned SADEV Group, which employs over 200 people, is a world leader in the production of transmission systems for motor sport.
